HYPEROBJECTS
Hyperobjects are cyborg extensions born to reconnect the human to its non-human origins. they represent the attempt to make visible what is invisible, tangible, and intangible, conceivable is ungraspable. Hyperobjects are simulations generated by entering algorithms, found everywhere in nature, into computational software, thus revealing the hypertexts of matter. Hyperobjects are attuned to the shift to an ecological consciousness, aiming at reversing the anthropocentric understanding of seemingly inanimate bodies. We are setting a new culture, able to awake us from the illusion of separation. The making of such culture is linked to the action of figuration, to the possibility of new, radical visibility. To us, change rests on imagination.
Ultimately Hyperobjects are tentacular juiciness. Thought and completely realized in the city of Milan, HO_0 is the first collection released by Hyperobjects. HO_0 was born to display the ubiquitous structures of reality across macro and micro scales.
The mind behind this project is the artist Gaia Lazzaro, a computational designer that had previously worked at Iris Van Herpen Atelier. After her latest studies in Biomimicry, she decided to launch her own project with the collaboration of the visual artists Roxy Ceron. Today Hyperobjects is a Milanese reality that is spreading its vision through collaborations with multidisciplinary artists and the organization of public events, made to sensibilize their public to contemporary issues.
