ISSU ISSU
Mariela Ingrassia and Cheryl Graf like it loud and bold. Ever since the two women founded ISSU ISSU during their student years, their projects and editions have interrogated design through ranging experiments into materials, colors, and forms. Ingrassia and Graf sidestep limitations of technique and subject matter, tackling unfamiliar materials and diving into new areas of design. From casting, to textiles, to handbags made from PET plastic, exploring ranging techniques requires collaboration and the exchange of ideas. ISSU ISSU has worked with artists skilled in glassblowing, saddling, and graffiti, repeatedly drawing traditional craftsmanship into a contemporary context.
