“I can resist everything except temptation,” the author, poet and playwright Oscar Wilde once said. And that’s probably true for us all. Temptation isn’t just a common human experience, though, it’s something we can’t escape from, however hard we try. And why should we try? The feeling of temptation is, at its core, an impulse to try out the new and unexplored, a longing for the good and beautiful, an urge to set sail for uncharted lands. It’s what drives us forward and makes us grow, what pushes us to become who we are destined to be. It’s an instinct that has shaped humanity. What lies beyond the horizon, we can only
imagine. What is certain, though, is that our curiosity and desire for new experiences and inventions will continue to shape the world we live in. The possibilities are boundless.
