Noah Lyon
Noah Lyon (b. 1979) is an artist and musician based in New York. His work includes various media such as drawings, paintings, fanzines, sound, video, texts, performances, and installations. In his series of drawings, he expresses a naive and colorful vision where the viewer is met by the contradicting flow of information surrounding society. By observing advertising logos, pins, Ronald McDonald, historical references, and other elements from the media culture. These are mixed into Lyon's visual world and way of expression. Popular cultural references are put together and deconstructed as well as aggressive and playful comments towards our time.
Lyon has exhibited at e.g. MoMA PS1, Art Basel, Printed Matter Inc, Deitch Projects. His art books are available among MoMA and Tate Britain's collections. His fanzines and buttons are sold in large quantities at Whitney Museum and New Museum and others.
