After two years of research, she developed a technical process for molding fabrics. Thanks to a resin that melts into the fibers of the fabrics and gives it a shiny effect, she bypasses sewing. She wields the layers of fabric together, producing pieces that are as technical as they are unique, honoring the craftsmanship.
Playing with transparencies and inlays, Vanessa Schindler sees fashion as an experimental artisan-designer, defending an autonomous production model.
In 2018 she turned to accessories and jewelry, momentarily leaving fashion to create her pieces by hand in her workshop. Her fourth jewelry collection 'Bioresin Hoops', featured on The Forumist Store stems from experiments with wax in water that create abstract, organic forms she likes to describe as sci-fi fossils. These forms are cast in a bioresin produced in Switzerland.
