Le Ceramics

Lisa Hartwig Ericson is a ceramic artist based in Stockholm, Sweden, working with both ceramics and glass. For many years she worked with human rights issues at UNICEF Sweden and as a political adviser in Stockholm City Hall. She changed her career in 2020 and is currently studying at Konstfack University, where she is doing her BFA. Lisa Ericson likes to create movement, contradictions, and strong expressions in her work and she uses both mouth-blown glass and glazed ceramics in her work. "I'm interested in the meeting between different shapes, textures, expressions, and materials and I try to express bodily experiences or memories through my work. I want to make things that contain a sense of movement or contradiction and I am constantly working in close contact with the material."
