CLARASWEARS

CLARASWEARS follows a contemporary jewelry practice where glass is reimagined as a material of intimacy and strength. Founded by Clara Schweers, the artist behind each piece, her collections, reposition glass from the background of everyday function into the foreground of glass as jewellery. By scaling it down — from façade or screen to wearable object — her jewellery allows for an intimate approach to glass.

This material shift from public and functional use to something close and worn, started in 2020 when she first began exploring borosilicate glass through traditional lampworking techniques. Working in sequences, she developed her visual language that is composed of interlinked elements, patterns and forms. Her work reflects a deep respect for the material’s immediacy, solidity, and unique properties. Its soft yet bold presence allows her jewellery pieces to become both sculptural and personal.
