Naomi Tarazi
Naomi Tarazi is a fashion designer who was born and raised in Berlin where she also has her studio. The studio is an old window shop in the northern parts of the city, which she uses as a workspace and a showroom for her creations. Her passion for clothing started while sewing her own outfits which she wore when going out. This followed her decision to study fashion design. During her studies, she spent a semester in Amsterdam and later on did her internship in London all before graduating in Berlin in February 2021. Being done with her studies she works both in her studio and on collaborative projects such as costume design for movies and artists. Her main focus when designing is the treatment of fabrics, to which she uses different types of manipulation. The behavior of the textiles and what happens to them when being treated is what inspires the shapes of her designs. Because of this, most of her pieces are one of a kind as they are all treated separately and with a certain unpredictability.
