Mariola Homoncik
Mariola Homoncik is a multifaceted polish designer based in Poland and creating from 2021. Now everything is sewn and developed by order from her studio in Cracow. She focused on shapes and cuts, aesthetics in a sustainable way, and traditional craftsmanship. She creates focus from choosing good materials to at the end of the loop and using offcuts from production to create new meaningful products. By meeting this process designer developed how to use all cut-off fabrics from production to create new styles. This way of creation allows her to explore new ways of design. Thanks to this her clothes are free from trend-led boundaries. In her garments, she tries to explore relationships between humans, bodies, and shapes. Attention to fit, fabric and print make customers' bodies feel confident, strong and feeling comfortable in their skin. She is keen on emphasizing a slower, more sustainable approach to fashion retailing. All garments are MADE-TO-ORDER or can be MADE-TO-MEASURE, thus including every size and shape create in her studio in Cracow.
The way of her designs is important. Every project has a characteristic, an asymmetrical form designed and formed by her. It is not a standard form of clothes. Every piece is cut in an original, individual way. This method makes the uses of the material as high as possible. Suture and seam formations vary and are unique to each customer. Finished garments may vary due to artisanal manufacturing. Some garments are unique and cannot be recreated through the „cut-off" producton.
