MILCHSHAKE

MILCHSHAKE is a jewelry studio founded in 2020 by Josefine Neumann, a BFA Fashion Design graduate and MFA student of The Swedish School of Textiles. The core of her practice is upcycling, meaning both physical materials and the themes and topics for her work. With a focus on humor and nostalgia, she uses her own as well as others’ memories to give them new settings and values, by the means of a deep interest in both physical and psychological memories. She aims to place her work in the intersection of fashion, costume and performance wear, and art, by challenging the way garments and accessories are perceived and their aesthetic functions. Each jewelry is upcycled from pre-owned artificial flowers and jewelry, handmade in Sweden by Josefine Neumann. These designs are exclusively made for The Forumist.
