ANNA LOESEL

ANNA LOESEL is a Berlin-based fashion designer merging experimental surfaces and traditional craftsmanship into desirable sartorial objects. Anna's work is rooted in the traditional craft of bespoke tailoring. During her artisanal training, she learned to understand the anatomy of individual bodies in relation to the anatomy of their garments. In further studies at Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin, the strongly intertwined concepts of body and clothing were contextualized and expanded into the cosmos of fashion.

Inspired by the fusion of traditional and innovative textile techniques, her work is characterized by the interplay of different volumes, silhouettes, and surfaces. Natural materials, like silk and wool of the highest quality, are explored and

rediscovered. Playful experiments with knitwear take a central role; due to the techniques’ almost infinite possibilities of combining colors, patterns, and structures, it has become a constant source of inspiration for her. An important aspect of Anna's vision is the sustainable treatment of people and nature in order to shift focus to and strengthen fashion's original positive energy.

Since founding her brand ANNA LOESEL, she has put great emphasis on building a transparent supply chain with responsibly sourced, natural materials in collaboration with local manufacturers. The value created from this process is internalized and represented by her garments, which become companions for life thanks to their high quality and uniqueness.
