ANNA GALAGANENKO
Since 2019 Anna Galaganenko has successfully presented her collections during Paris Fashion Week. The label's signature designs are effortlessly raw yet perfectly tailored shirts and jeans, which are all produced in Italy, at the same factory as Dior, Etro and Versace.
Since the beginning, sustainability was a natural necessity of the project. Sample shirts and jeans were developed out of used men’s items. While new clothes are made out of the meticulously chosen existing luxury stock fabrics, produced in northern Italy. Latest collections present more reworked textile experiments.
For the AW 2021 collection, in addition to the upcycling, Anna used scraps, snippets and fallout fabric from her suppliers allowing her to give the wasted bits a new life in a “re- invented fabric”. Silk craps organised into a patchwork; the denims were washed, re-worked, turned into yarn and woven into clothing. It all came out as a colourful winter collection, elegant, feminine and empowering. Shirts are still the core product of the brand and they come in a unique and very limited colour combination. Loose or slim fit – classic cotton version with versatile button options or comfortable cotton flannels which seems to be the best fabric on Earth. All the stock fabric suppliers are located in the North part of Italy – the best known region for the quality product, which appeals immediately by touching the outcome garments.
