Heralded from the Ga-Adangbe tribe in Eastern Region, Ghana, KORLEKIE means ‘Queen of Eagles’.
Launched in 2013 by British-Ghanaian designer Beatrice Korlekie, the brand’s ethos centers on taking time to craft something truly spectacular inspired by the designer’s dual cultural heritage of being Ghanaian and British.
KORLEKIE has been featured in i-D magazine’s ones to watch, Elle and Vogue Italia and has been worn by actresses Anna Friel and Cynthia Erivo and music artists, Tiwa Savage and Ellie Goulding to name a few.
KORLEKIE strives to build with local enterprises and craftspeople and supports and collaborates with global, social enterprises that promote good practices in fashion.
Beatrice is proud to design in the UK, supporting and creating great friendships with local mills and artisans in the UK and Europe.
